The Leadership Track offers a method of tracking the development of your leadership skills as you participate in certain activities in the Toastmasters program.
As part of the Leadership Track, members earn recognition for their achievements by advancing through the ranks of Competent Leader (CL) and Advanced Leader (AL). Please note a new Leadership Track goes into effect July 1, 2006 Please download details here.
After completing the requirements for AL, a Toastmaster may also earn the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) if that member also has Advanced Toastmaster-Gold (ATM-G) certification.

Competent Leader (CL)
To earn the rank of Competent Leader, a member must meet the following requirements:

To earn the rank of Advanced Leader, a member must meet the following requirements:
Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)
After a member has completed the Leadership Track and earned the rank of AL, that member is eligible to receive the rank of Distinguished Toastmaster (the highest rank in Toastmasters) if he/she has also earned Advanced Toastmaster-Gold (ATM-G) certification in the Communication Track.
